November 29: Web - Strategies to Balance Work & Family Life (Washington State)

Juggling work and family responsibilities can be challenging, especially for attorneys with demanding clients, high caseloads, and strict deadlines. In this two-part CLE, psychologist Dan Crystal will begin by teaching about how stress at work can crossover and impact family relationships and vice versa. Next, he will teach you some strategies that you can use to recognize, prevent, and manage those stresses by improving your planning and communication techniques.
In the next session, you will hear from a panel of attorneys with children about the benefits of creating a more family friendly work environment. They will also talk about the challenges that they faced while juggling their roles as both attorneys and caretakers. Lastly, they will discuss how they sought out legal careers where they could reach their professional goals while maintaining strong family relationships.
