September 17: White Plains - Pro Bono Lawyers Representing Immigrant Children

The plight of immigrant children on the country's borders is a humanitarian crisis. Hundreds of vulnerable children are placed in facilities in Westchester County or have been released to relatives. Half of these children may have legal remedies that would enable them to obtain legal status. These children need attorneys who can protect their due process right to proper adjudication.
About Project Protect: Project Protect is a new initiative that will provide training, supervision and mentoring of attorneys who volunteer to provide representation and counsel to immigrant youth.
