During this program, the presenter will:
  • Cover some of the most common types of flooring and their characteristics
  • Review common maintenance techniques and potential problems associated with them
  • Identify methods of testing a floor and the equipment used
  • Provide definitions of static and dynamic coefficients of friction, the standard of measure used to determine the slip-resistance of a floor surface
  • Review of the ANSI/NFSI standards related to floor safety
  • Review of some of the other issues related to floor safety such as doormats, single steps, short stairways and ramps
