In addressing legal standards for religious discrimination, the course will present information on federal (EEOC) standards as well as Minnesota (Minnesota Human Rights Act) standards for reasonable religious accommodations in the area of employment. The course will focus specifically on the Minneapolis Civil Rights Ordinance, which locally enforces federal and state standards and establishes a complaint investigation process to review allegations of religious discrimination.
